We’re excited to announce our next event at the Junkyard Social Club on Wednesday, September 18th from 6:00–8:30 PM. We’ll be celebrating the Equinox a few days early with our iPad SAMPLR EQUINOX bash.
Join us for drinks and a synth meet featuring an overview and demo of iPad Samplr — the live sampling and sample mangling monster on the iPad.
For this event, we’ll once again gather at the amazing Junkyard Social Club venue in Boulder. They’ve generously offered the venue space for free, so we encourage you to come hungry and thirsty.The venue boasts a full-service coffee shop brewing local Ampersand Coffee, and their café serves delightful small bites—including paninis, burritos, and various snacks. Their bar offers a selection of local beer, wine, and cocktails featuring DV8 Spirits.

Event Description
We’ll kick off the night with an intro to Samplr. This app is surprisingly deep, so we’ll cover key features and share performance tips and tricks. Don’t have Samplr yet? Grab it on the App Store here.
📱If you have an iPad with Samplr, bring it along
This event isn’t just for Samplr owners or those curious about Samplr. Even if you don’t own an iPad or this app, seeing and hearing Samplr in action will spark creative ideas for your sampling workflow. You’re also welcome to simply come enjoy drinks, music, and socialize with like-minded synth enthusiasts.
As the sun sets, you’ll venture outside to capture up to six sounds from the amazing Junkyard. You’ll then have time to craft your own sounds using these recordings.
Following this, we’ll have optional on-the-spot performances. Show off your creations solo or team up for duos!

Why SAMPLR?
- Samplr is one of the best sampling multitouch performance apps ever created, and possibly the best $19.99 you’ll spend in the App Store.
- Like our Koala Sampler Workshop, Samplr is another app that will allow us to sample the Junkyard.
- With our upcoming Halloween Concert (TBA), we thought it would be fun and inspiring to showcase Samplr’s features. It’s a quick way to add creative sample mangling to any rig.
- As holiday travel approaches, Samplr is a great app to have for music-making on the go.
- We plan on hosting future improv events where Samplr will be the instrument of choice.
