RMSM #120 – Down in the Park Gear Swap – Saturday June 18th, 10am-1pm MDT

The Rocky Mountain Synthesizer Meet is hosting a gear swap at a pavilion in Louisville. This will be our first face-to-face member event since February 2020 – yay!

The event is free but registration is required.

All are welcome whether you are buying, selling, trading, or you just want to come hang out.

Note, there will be an additional Zoom event later in the month, details TBA.

RSVP Required & Donation Suggested

Two things. First, the venue has a 50 person max capacity so attendance will be limited, and RSVPs will be required. Second, I pre-paid a $75 fee to rent the venue.

All this being the case, we’ll be managing this event using Eventbrite so I can manage the headcount, have a waitlist if need be, plus offer the option of a donation help offset the venue rental and other general expenses (such as our Annual Zoom Pro account fee which was $162.85 plus our $48 web hosting fee both I which I paid this week).

Other advantagesof Eventbrite are:

  1. Once you RSVP, I can message you about the event in case of weather issues and such.
  2. You’ll receive an automated reminder 48-hour before the event
  3. You’ll have the option to drop event into your calendar
  4. You can keep tabs on the event using the EventBrite app

If you don’t plan on attending this event but still want to help financially support our community you can make a donation here or buy merch.

More About the Venue and Parking

We will be in the Arboretum Pavilion in Louisville, CO located on Via Appia between the Louisville Recreation Center and the Police Department with closest access from the parking lot located at the Louisville Skate Park. There is a map link to this location in the Eventbrite invite.

It’s a beautiful spot and the pavilion has electricity, 4 tables and large rocks along the side for more gear or sitting. There are flush toilets on-site. Sellers should throw a table in their car in case we run out of table space.

Parking is a little tight with 18 spots so if you are not bringing anything to sell, please park in the Rec Center parking lot shown as “Even More Parking” on the image below.

The walk from the “gear drop off” to the pavilion is 360 feet so you may if you have a lot of stuff, you might want to “milk crate” your stuff and bring a dolly.

Here are some more photos of the site.
