Other Local Synth Related Events in June
Sunday July 13 6-9 PM – Doombient

Our good friends the Colorado Modular Synth Society is hosting Doombient event at The Crypt in Denver. It’s also a release party for an album compilation with contributions from CMSS members. Album is available on Bandcamp.
Doombient is like Dystopian fiction for music. Dark and moody, it’s surprisingly fun to create and on Sunday you will hear it all being done live!
Doesn’t appear that RSVP is required.

Saturday July 19 – “Sisters with Transistors” Screening

Canyon Theater, Main Library in Boulder.
Join us for music and light refreshments followed by the film screening.
Sisters with Transistors (2020) follows the story of electronic music’s female pioneers, composers who embraced machines and their liberating technologies to utterly transform how we produce and listen to music today.
Run time 1hr, 25 min.
Looks like it’s free. More details and parking info here.
It also looks like if you have a library card, you can watch the film here – although viewing in person on a big screen with other synth fans seems like more fun.
Sunday July 27 Paradise Lost

Luigi’s Modular (aka Chris Cardone) and Prismajic present Paradise Lost – Chris Meyer’s – Alias Zone Album Release Party and More.
This event features an impressive lineup including RMSM members, local players from the scene, and special performances by Meridian Alpha and Chris Meyer, both visiting from New Mexico. I recommend checking the link below for complete details about the event.
It’s worth noting that Chris Cardone mentioned on Facebook that…
“Free admission to those who participate in the Modular petting zoo! Bring any modules you may want to swap or sell!”
