Petting Zoo is Sunday – Please Consider Brining Some Instrument to Share
Our big Petting Zoo / Gear Swap is coming up on Sunday June16th at 10am at Junkyard Social Club in Boulder. 37 people have registered so far and the venue is also promoting so I’m expecting 50+.
Only about 1/3 of the people registered indicate they are bringing gear to share at the Petting Zoo. Of course the Petting Zoo is more fun with more gear, so please consider bringing something small with heaphone out (headphones only event) that some might enjoy checking out.
⭐️ Pro Tip: Venue doesn’t open till 10am and you’ll have plenty of time to setup, so don’t arrive earlier than that or you’ll just be hanging in the parking lot.
Everybody come hungry and thirsty and bring headphones with 1/8″ and 1/4″ capability.
Junkyard offers a full-service coffee shop brewing local Ampersand Coffee with small bites – like paninis, burritos, and small snacks. Bar is open in the afternoons and on weekends – serving up local beer, wine, and cocktails.

After Sunday, We’ll Have a New Time Slot at Junkyard Social Club
AFTER the Petting Zoo event, we’re moving our Junkyard Social Club events to evening slots from 6-8:30pm.
This is a very generous opportunity given to us by the venue, as they close at 6 so we’ll have the venue for ourselves. They are also letting us extend event time by from 2 hours to 2.5 hours. This lets us build-in setup and tear down times, offers more time for the event programs & mingling, and also will let us start our formal segments later in the day to help reduce the impact of traffic for those coming from outside of Boulder.
These time sots would normally mean we would have to rent the venue, but they are letting use the venue to support our community!
The cafe / bar will be open for the first part of these events, so please come hungry and thirsty so we can also support such a generous business.
